J. Kelly Payne - Founder

The son of an accomplished automotive designer. H.E. Payne shared his artistic talent and design skills with his son and routinely instructed him to “sketch it first, make sure it’s sound and then build it… in that order.” Kelly’s 30+ year marine design career has finally produced ‘new’ boats from his youth, influenced by some of the cars and automotive experiences he enjoyed growing up in the Detroit area. Kelly has always found a unique connection between cars and boats and the people who drive and enjoy them. This new venture is the result of all of those experiences and knowledge.

Ryan Albertson - Sales & Marketing

An Avid Boater at heart, Ryan grew up with boats on the brain. Getting caught with Boating and Yachting magazines in class was not uncommon as a youth and so the boat business is a natural fit. Like most boaters he “foolishly” started out with a clunker boat that was usually broken. Ryan discovered boat sales at 22 and what was new and exciting has been his passion ever since. From small boat sales and service to some of the most exclusive yachts in the world; Ryan has learned much of the boat business and carries his passion for customer satisfaction on to Continental Powerboats.
